The Rescue Diver program develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. Rescue Diver certification is also a prerequisite for all professional programs.
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you'll cover:
* Self-rescue and diver stress, dive first aid & emergency management and equipment
* Swimming and non-swimming assists, panicked diver response & underwater problems
* Missing diver procedures & surfacing the unconscious diver
* In water artificial respiration & egress (exits)
* First aid procedures for pressure related accidents & dive accident scenarios

MEDIC FIRST AID & CPR COURSE
What would you do if someone passed out in front of you, received a serious injury, or if a fellow diver needed to be helicopter evacuated because of a boating or dive injury? If you are trained in First Aid & CPR you could help them. You’re most likely to use your first aid skills to come to the aid of someone you know—a family member, friend or dive buddy. This is a great class! We do an excellent job preparing divers for the unexpected. This course is also a mandatory pre-requisite for all Dive Supervisors & Dive Masters. The program is taught through the American Heart Association. When you successfully complete these courses you will receive certification in that course. IF YOU DO DIVE WITH OTHERS, THIS CLASS IS A LIFE SAVER!
